1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Slow City Travel S.L., a company registered in Spain (CIF: B-12345678, registered address: Calle de Alcalá 44, 28014 Madrid, Spain). By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Services Provided
Slow City Travel offers travel planning services, curated travel guides, accommodation recommendations, and cultural immersion programs. We act as an intermediary, connecting travelers with accommodation providers, tour operators, and local service providers.
2.1 Program Bookings
When you book a program (Urban Retreat, Deep Immersion, or Self-Guided), you enter into a contract with us. We will provide the services as described in the program details, subject to availability and these Terms.
2.2 Third-Party Services
Some services (accommodation, workshops, tours) are provided by third parties. While we carefully vet our partners, we are not liable for their actions or failures to perform.
3. Pricing and Payment
All prices are quoted in Euros (EUR) and include applicable Spanish VAT (IVA) at the current rate (21% for most services). Prices may vary by destination and season. Full payment terms will be provided upon booking confirmation.
3.1 Payment Schedule
- A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm booking
- Full payment is due 60 days before program start date
- Bookings made within 60 days require immediate full payment
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Client
- More than 60 days before departure: 70% refund (deposit forfeited)
- 30-59 days before departure: 50% refund
- 15-29 days before departure: 25% refund
- Less than 15 days: No refund
4.2 Cancellation by Slow City Travel
If we must cancel your program due to circumstances beyond our control (force majeure, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, strikes), we will offer a full refund or alternative dates. We are not liable for consequential losses (flights, time off work, etc.).
5. Consumer Rights (EU Customers)
Under EU Directive 2015/2302 on package travel, you have specific rights including:
- Right to clear pre-contractual information
- Protection against insolvency of the travel organizer
- Right to terminate contract in case of unavoidable circumstances
- Right to assistance if difficulties arise during travel
6. Liability Limitations
Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the total cost of your program, except where prohibited by Spanish or EU law. We recommend comprehensive travel insurance.
7. Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with GDPR and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD). See our Privacy Policy and GDPR Compliance page for details.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain, except where EU consumer protection laws grant you additional rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
9. Alternative Dispute Resolution
In accordance with EU Regulation 524/2013, you have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email to registered users. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
